Chapter President

I helped revive NLGJA Chicago after a period of inactivity, rebuilding the chapter into an active community for LGBTQ+ journalists and allies. As president, I organize networking events and professional development, build partnerships with other journalism groups, and secure funding for our programming.

Now in its fifth year, this annual collaboration brings together journalism groups from across the city to connect, build relationships and celebrate Chicago’s media community.

Spearheaded by AAJA Chicago and supported by the Field Foundation, I’ve helped plan the event since its launch, working alongside NAHJ Chicago, NABJ Chicago, SAJA, the Chicago Headline Club, Chicago Journalists Association.
