I’m an adjunct professor teaching an undergraduate course on LGBTQ+ Journalism and a master’s level course in reporting fundamentals.
Our Stories, Our Power
I co-developed and co-taught Our Stories, Our Power, a six-week community journalism program that gives emerging storytellers hands-on training and support to report and publish stories about their communities.
A collaboration between Windy City Times and E3 Radio, the program is rooted in the belief that the people closest to a community are the ones most equipped to tell its stories.
I develop curriculum, lead workshops, bring in guest speakers from community-focused newsrooms across Chicago and publish participants’ work.
