While working at Block Club Chicago in 2023, I led the creation of Proud City, an LGBTQ+ news vertical with resources for the community. We launched during Pride Month with a series of five newsletters filled to the brim with LGBTQ+ news stories and features.

I wrote Block Club's LGBTQ+ newsletter sharing stories and other resources for queer people and their allies. Although I no longer work at Block Club, the newsletter has continued on a monthly basis, reaching nearly 3,000 subscribers by the time I left. Read some of my favorite issues here.
The Queer Families Series

I celebrated Pride Month in 2023 by writing a five-part series profiling queer families — chosen and biological — across Chicago. I wrote about:
